The night before your planned surf session call me on the mobile 0415 807 627. We have a chat and discuss local break options. Call a friend or two as the shoot often works well with friends in the water. If the surf is cracking it's most likely I will be out shooting somewhere anyway, so it's just a case of meeting up at the same spot. If the surf is epic, I have locations picked out that I need to shoot so you will probably have to meet me where I am. But generally on most mornings with good surf I am happy to shoot where ever you want to surf on the coast. We meet in the car park discuss the best options for shooting. The photography session usually lasts an hour, you can come in or stay out if it's good.

We can also include a family portrait shoot at the same time, great for families on holidays.

Viewing the photos. After the session you can visit the gallery at a time that suits you and browse through the images from that day on either of the two internet bays. We create an image folder for you here. Your images are kept and stored.

When? Generally first light to 7am, but I can shoot at any time of the day. If it's midday and Sunshine is 6 foot and offshore, call me and I will shoot up from Coolum and document the session.

What does it cost? The call out fee is $95 between Sunshine Beach & Maroochydore, $125 for Noosa, Kawana to Caloundra. This only applies if we agree to go ahead with the shoot after checking the surf. If we meet and the surf is no good, no fee. This fee can be divided by your mates or who ever wants photos. After each shoot we have between 300 and 1000 images to sort through. The best way to do this is using the internet terminals at the Yaroomba gallery. If this is not possible we can email you some resized samples of the good images to choose from. You have the option to purchase all the high resolution prints outright for $495, this can be divided by as many people in the shoot. If you do not wish to purchase all the digital files you can select individual images to enlarged onto canvas or photographic prints. Our standard print and canvas prices apply to any reprints. What kind of surf? The photos will be as good as the surf so the better the surf the better the photos. Clean surf, preferably offshore winds and at least 2 foot of swell.

Planning a surf trip? I have documented overseas boat trips in the past and still offer this service. Imagine coming home from a surf trip with 2000 magazine quality surf images of you and your mates in stand up barrels. It generally works like this. If you are on a trip with a group who all want photos, it will cost the group my airfare, taxes and basic accommodation while on land and my position on the boat, divided by however many are on the boat. If there are 10 people it usually costs around $250 each to have me on board, that includes a multi pack print package at the end of the trip. I can work out a deal with the boat owner and generally get a discounted rate as a photographer for my stay on the boat. I shoot magazine quality digital stills that we view each night on the laptop. After the trip you can purchase photos if you wish.
